School of Defence & Strategic Studies (SDSS)
Sri Balaji University Pune is founded by a Soldier, who battled on and off the field to create one of the finest educational Institutes of Pune.
Col Balasubramanian was the first Indian to be honoured as the Indian Army’s Honorary Colonel by the President for his pioneering work in management education. Col Balasubramanian served the army for over 28 years. He was a war veteran who had participated in the 1965 and 1971 Indo-Pak wars.
Today, the University is hurtling towards a brighter, bigger future because of the values of Discipline, Dedication and Determination which is embedded in our DNA
It’s a day to pay our tributes to the one and the countless men and women in Uniform who keep us safe so that we can dream on!
SBUP’S School of Defence & Strategic Studies is a humble tribute to the Soldier and Warrior – Bala Sir, The School of Defence & Strategic Studies (SDSS) has been established in the SBUP campus in October 2023.
SBUP’s SDSS has been established to capture the synergy between academia, corporates and the Defence establishments to provide opportunities for growth for servicemen and women, ex-servicemen, researchers and civil society and most importantly to the youth to actively contribute to Nation Building.
